Travel Day 2: Calais - Dover

At night we drove to Calais and woke up around 6:30 to go through customs and get our passports stamped before we could get on the ferry to Dover. We all got a voucher for breakfast and after an hour we arrived in England. There we had to go through customs again.

Then we drove to London and dropped off Eivør & Sylvaine. Nina, the drivers and myself then drove to the Zeppelin bus stop. Took us an hour to drive 6 miles through London traffic. Henning invited us all to a barbecue at his place in Ilford. Nina went to do some shopping, because we forgot to bring converters…

I stayed with the bus and waited for Henning to pick me up. He brought his son along and we showed him the inside of the nightliner. He was running on the top floor, enjoying himself. Then we drove to Henning’s place and the I had a nice shower. Lovely people, great food and a beautiful home. Really beats staying on bus or at a hotel for a change.Read more
