The jet pictured reminds me of the supersonic US interceptor called the F 106. It was extremely fast and was an air defense aircraft designed to launch quickly and shoot down Russian bombers. The 106 was capable of Mach 2 performance. [G&G BB]

This was a really neat (and slightly scary) climb. The inside is wooden and steep, and then the last bit up the spire is on the OUTSIDE.
