Gornerschlucht

This canyon is spectacular, and just a short walk from our room.
Alpine Meadows

Hike down from the gorge back to Zermatt.
I had a butterfly visitor! 🦋🦋🦋
And yes, I had to refrain at every moment from twirling around and bursting into song..."The hills are alive..."
Dinner At Mazot

Amy and I had an excellent dinner with Argentinean beef filet, white wine risotto and grilled peppers. It was all delicious!
Morning Journey Up

Heading up to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Three different gondolas and cable cars - Zermatt to Furi to Tronkener Steg to MGP. About 45 min to get all the way up.
Glacier Palace

15ft down into a glacier! Lots of cool ice sculptures.
It was incredibly cold inside - even outside was pretty chilly.
It was 80 in Zermatt, 40 up on the peak!
Hot Chocolate at the Top of Europe

We had to get warmed up after the cold!
Matterhorn Glacier Paradise

This really is a paradise - and it will literally take your breath away at 12,740 feet!

Lunch in Furi (and some new friends)

She makes friends everywhere! These twins are a year younger and are Americans moving to Gothenburg, Sweden. We had a lovely chat with them and the girls really hit it off.
Hängebrücke

We hiked up to the suspension bridge (hangebrucke) just for fun of crossing it. There was an ultra race was happening at the same time and many runners were coming down. Willow skipped out since theOkumaya devam et

Swiss Fondue

Had to have fondue in Switzerland! We actually think Melting Pot back home is better.
Matterhorn Trail Run

I've had some great runs on this trip, but this was without a doubt the most spectacular. I took the gondolas up to the Schwarzsee station at 8,474 feet. Then I followed the trail up towards TrockenerOkumaya devam et

Rothorn

Another spectacular day in the Alps.
We took a funicular 🚃, gondola 🚡, and cable car 🚠 to get up to Rothorn Paradise!
The altitude is glorious.
Sunnega

This area with an alpine lake was a highlight!
Unfortunately, I stepped on a bee and got stung while Sean and Éowyn were swimming. Fortunately, there were some lovely sun chairs to relax on.
Saying Goodbye to Zermatt

This little sheep even has a bell on her collar. Éowyn named her Fluffy.
One Last Hike In Zermatt

I took one last hike in the morning before leaving Zermatt. I went on the trail by Gorner Gorge up past Blatten and Zum See and nearly to Furi.
I took some pictures of the church in Blatten. Some ofOkumaya devam et
