Grand Canyon NP

Of course the Grand Canyon can not be missed on a national park tour. And yes, it's spectacular again and again no matter how often you have seen it. We only did a little hike half way down (or maybe rather 1/4 of it).Meer informatie

In Page we expected two highlights of our trip: The Wave and Antelope Canyon. We did both already during our trip in 2004 but wanted to take some new pictures of these spectacular places. NO - it was raining in the middle of the desert so heavily that the road to The Wave was totally unusable and the Antelope Canyon was full of water. So we had to accept that this time we won't see them. But we still had a good time in Page enjoying a canoe tour on Lake Powell, a visit to the dam and of course the horseshoe bend.Meer informatie

Mesa Verde NP

As we had no luck with The Wave and Antelope Canyon, we decided to go on and spend a day in Mesa Verde. This turned out to be a good choice - Mesa Verde was great. It's interesting to visit the old villages and learn about the culture of ancient american cultures.Meer informatie

Arches NP

I love Arches - well, it deserves its name. You have plenty of stone arches everywhere in the park. But there is so much more about it. You can have wonderful hikes from easy to challenging. We managed to stay on the camp ground directly in the park so we could stay after parke closure and had a wonderful sunrise hike without all the crowd.Meer informatie

Zion NP

One of the absolute highlights of our trip. We did another time (after 2004) the hike to the Subway - this is heaven for every photographer. The second day we went up to Angels Landing. Well, considering that this is the standard hike every average American is doing it was quite spectacular and I am not surprised that there are a couple of deadly accidents each year.Meer informatie
