Kenilworth Castle

There was a Legendary Joust at Kenilworth castle. It exceeded my expectations! We had a lovely time, with glorious weather. While we always enjoy Gumeracha Medieval fair, there's something different about having a fair in real castle grounds. We saw HEMA fighting demos, falconry, calligraphy (the chap made his own quill while we watched) and of course the jousting. This was really well done. The horses were great and everyone looked the part.
The castle grounds are quite vast. The old stables are the only part not in ruins and are used as the Cafe. The Elizabethan gardens were very grand and were a peaceful place to sit. I am now happy to have my feet up.Read more
