• Lake Huron - Butterfly Tour

    April 16, 2023 in Canada ⋅ 🌙 11 °C

A fun little day trip can be found in certain towns along the Lake Huron shoreline in Huron and Bruce counties. Goderich with its butterfly 🦋 photo op on the Square (and the SpongeBob SquarePants Under The Sea mural tucked in on the back of the same building), Fish and chips outside at a picnic table at The Old Saltie restaurant overlooking the large ships and a scenic walk along their shoreline before a quick drive to Port Albert to see one of the smallest “downtown” cores where you can find the Port Albert General Store & Pub and a cute little cottage country on a small beach before skipping along Hwy 21 to Point Clark for another beautiful beach with a lighthouse and public washrooms where you’ll find another butterfly 🦋 photo op. Lucknow offers another butterfly 🦋 photo opportunity and has a nice little bake shop on their main street. Check out Ripley where another butterfly 🦋 is found or grab an ice cream cone from the corner store in Holyrood where they are known for serving up some of the largest cones in the county. There are more spots to find the butterfly 🦋 photo opportunities but I don’t know where they all are. I’m hoping others who do know where they are will share them here.
EDIT: Someone shared in comments there is an additional butterfly 🦋 along Hwy 21 in Kincardine.
Additionally a set of wings that aren’t butterfly ones in Eugenia (bit further away).
