Technically permanently closed, we stopped into Campbellford Auto Body/Prototype Research & Dev Ltd to ask if we could wander around the outdoor planes, trucks, etc. To our surprise, this was the founder's son and current owner of the property, David Carlaw. He invited us in to his office, showed us his model plane collection and pictures, told us stories about the avro, the other planes, himself as a pilot, a Russian oligarch he knew, showed us more pictures... He invited us back to his shop where he has several custom cars in production, including a '57 chevy and another classic with a tiny modern engine in it... Woah, wait - I could have a '57 chevy built with a kia hybrid engine?!!? Too cool...

He talked to us for over 3 hours! Better than any tour we could have hoped for.Weiterlesen
