Monday, leaving Cooke City

Around 5:30am, the electric went off. The outside lights that had brightened up the room were no longer on. Within a half hour, I heard noises outside, first from a jet ski and then people talking. I went out to check. It was the owner. He wanted to put the generator on but wanted our permission because it was very noisy. We didn’t mind.

That done and being awake, we both started our morning routines and then started sorting out our photos and travel log. As we do 😁!

We made breakfast from some food and fruit we’d bought yesterday. And had real coffee from the room’s coffee machine.

Around 10am, we made headway. This time to Helena, 232 miles away. We’ll be on the same roads as yesterday except on the opposite direction until we get to Three Forks, when we will take the highway 287 up to Helena.
