Lake Pedder / Gordon Dam

This is a great drive from Mt Feild. The veiws along the way are worth the drive on their own. Graham strutted his stuff on an interesting statue on the roadside.

Moorland Mosaic

On the way back down from Lake Dodson, we did the short Moorland Mosaic walk.
A wealth of plant life. With informative boards about the flora. A easy short walk up a board walk.

Lake Dobson

Still in Mt Feild NP. Drove up to Lake Dobson. A very narrow, windy gravel road. Climbing up for about 16ks
up into the Alpine region. Was a little bit nippy. But we soon warmed up, walking around theWeiterlesen
Mount Feild National Park

We love it here. Only $20 per night for full power and water hook up. Not used to having these in a NP. Even a laundry.

Derwent Bridge

Had a great free camp at the Derwent Bridge Pub.
Not much in Derwent Bridge, but is a great base to visit the area.

Oatlands

We had a very cold, but lovely day visiting Oatlands.
The historical mill precinct was wonderful. Had been very nicely restored by the distillery that is adjoining the mill.

Ross

We are camped at Park in a Paddock a few minutes out of Ross. Ron is an excellent host and loves a chat. Power for $15 per night. Plus, there is a $3 washing machine. As well as the fun of feeding theWeiterlesen

Sheffield is known for its street murals. It's made a great stroll around town checking them out.

Back a Bernie. The car is going in for a service this morning.

Cooee Point - Bernie

Got to love a free camp site with an ocean view. Only minutes to the Bernie town centre.
We will be back here in a few days for the car to get her service.
Forth

We had a couple of relaxing days here.
Was very nice camped next to the river. Shame about the huge fence with barbwire across to top.

Last day @ Cradle Mountain

No big walks today. Went as far as the rangers station. Did a couple of short walks. Enjoyed checking out the interpretation centre.

Another beautiful walk. Started a Dove Lake. Down hill through the forest. Some rough and a little challenging terrain for us. Past Lake Lilla. Then, finally out on the board, walk through the AlpineWeiterlesen

Another perfect day in Tassie. Did the walk around Dove Lake. So spectacular.
Took us about 2.5 hrs to do the 7ks. Was very pleased with our effort.
