Tingle Tree Forest

Dragged ourselves out yesterday to visit the Tingle trees just out of Walpole. Our first outing since Graham bought the dreaded virus back to the van.

Walpole certainly ticked all the boxes. Stunning forests, with the impressive old Tingle Trees. I have fallen in love with them. Such wonderful shapes.

Windy Harbour

We didn't get to go fishing. Graham was sick. We had gone for a walk along Salmon Beach on Monday.

Point D'entrecasteaux NP

We are currently camping at Windy Point Van Park.
Went for a drive to Point D'entrecasteaux NP. So spectacular.
WA has some of the most impressive coastlines. Will go back tomorrow and visit Salmon Czytaj więcej
Big Brook Dam

Another beautiful day for exploring the Southern Forest around Pemberton.
We went to Big Brook Dam. Then, followed the gravel road through the Karri Forest. Was heavily logged in the past. It's great Czytaj więcej
Heartbreak Trail

We drove the Heartbrake Trail today. I'm not sure why it's called that. Was an excellent gravel road. Except where they were grading.

Chocolates

OMG... we are camped behind the Southern Forest Cocolate Company, Pemberton. So beautiful here. We have an avocado orchard behind us. Grape vines growing on the other side. The most beautiful dam. But Czytaj więcej

Jayes Bridge

It was so peaceful here on the river. Lots of open space and sunshine to keep the battery charged.

Bridgetown ... revised

Back to Bridgetown for a couple of nights. How sweet are the flowers lining the main street. Open gardens this weekend here.
Got to visit my favourite craft store and pick up some yummy yarn.

Alexandra River Campground

I lovely campground on the river. Was one of the busiest places we have stayed in a long time. It is a popular spot to bring your boat. Apparently, the bream running at the moment.

Boranup Campground

We stayed here overnight. Had to go down to Augusta nearby to pick up a new water pump in the morning.
Was bitterly cold and drizzly rain all afternoon. So stayed tucked up inside. We did have an emu Czytaj więcej
David Ugly Campground

Lake Kepwari was formerly a mine and is now filled with water from the Collie River, making it perfect for water-based activities and lakeside camping. It is also used for water skiing Czytaj więcej

Narembeen has a wonderful RV site/ van park run by the council. You can pick between paying and getting power & water. Or free camping fully off the grid. We could still use the laundry (washing Czytaj więcej
Corrigin

Thanks, Corrigin, for another free RV site. Again, it is an easy stroll to the shops.
We enjoyed the 4.5 wildflower drive just out of town. I was hanging out the window playing spotter. Graham was Czytaj więcej

Kulin

Another lovely little country town. Home of the Tin Horse Highway. A fun display of tin horse made by local farmers. Missed their very popular bush races by a week.

Dumbleyung Lake

The lake where Donald Campbell achieved his world speed record on water. It's the largest lake in WA. Surrounded by wheat fields. The blue and gold make a very attractive setting.
