Oh I love working out where I've flown over from pics 😎 This is the Karun River in Iran, upstream from the Gotvand (hydroelectric) Dam (further W/left). I took the pic because the landscape was so dramatic. These are the Zagros Mountains, which are growing as the Arabian and Eurasian tectonic plates collide.

I didnt have too many chances to take pics during the journey - either it was night, I was asleep or over Europe there was lots of cloud cover. But coming in to land I got this shot of the chain of reservoirs along the A628 Woodham Pass from Tintwistle / Hadfield. 19 miles to ho to Manchester Airport ☺
