    Tremendous sound and great costumes to fill the parts.

  • Murray River Highway Ferries

    Dotted all the way along the Murray River from the VIC border are these little ferries that are free to travel on. They form a part of the SA highway road network and connect each side of the river towns. There are many or them along the river as well as the river locks, more about them in another post.Read more

    This massive inland river port of Morgan is just a shadow of its original self. A century ago this was a bustling river port on the Murray that would transport all sorts of goods from the interior to Adelaide. Now a small tourist town with museums and historic buildings from its glorious past.Read more

    After checking out the silo art we park across from the pub tucked in under the trees behind the Merino Sheep. Can just see the car sticking out from behind.
    Into the pub for a refreshing soft drink, well at least it felt soft, but spelled beer.Read more

    In the pub for a coldie or two and one of the local old fellas at the bar starts making these origami figurines.
    A flying bird, a dinosaur, and a talking crow. Love it, Sue was stoked.
    And the purple additions to the family were a whale, a pig, and a wind surfer.Read more

  • Adelaide not as Planned

    The day before arriving in Adelaide Paul took a bit of a turn and we tested for Covid but seemed okay but he was quite sick with a fever. By the time we reached Adelaide and another bad night we did another Covid test and this time it was positive.
    By Saturday Sue was starting to come down with similar symptoms. Didn’t bother testing, figured it was a foregone conclusion.

    With our condition visiting any places was no longer an option. Although there were many locations we could just visit by driving through.
    Paul could only last a couple of hours and had to head back to rest, hopefully things will improve soon. We split the days in 2, went out in the morning, came back to rest a few hours and then out again.Read more

    Found this gorgeous free camp north of Kingston SA.
    Right by the beach facing due west, couple of other vans here but plenty of room.
    Will doing mostly free camps for the next few days to stay away from people while we get past the Covid.Read more

    After leaving Adelaide we were still testing positive so had to stay away from other people. Made our way down to lovely Oceanside town Robe.
    A lot of historic nautical history in this region.

    Pete took us around to Halls Gap, the gateway to the Grampians. A really pretty little spot aimed directly at the hiking, camping tourists that frequent The Grampians for the bush experience. .

    Almost recovered from our Covid by the time we reached Melbourne. Was fantastic catching up with Bec for a few days and showing her around my original home town.
