We got away early at around 4:30am with a plan to arrive early at Tara around 8:30am.

The place is steadying to fill up. The queues getting in and registering are massive, glad we got here earlier.

Looks a little different with a few thousand vans parked up. This year is sold out and expectations of over 10,000 people will be in attendance over the weekend.

Amazing performances with dancers in the fire show. Fire lit batons, fire lit whip cracking, just amazing.

40 minutes before the commencement of the fireworks and people are already queueing up for front row seats, it’s gonna look pretty good in a little while.

Apparently according to Channel 9 news Tara camel races this year reached a record of 13,000 people in attendance. They had to expand the actual caravan camping areas into outside areas as well justLäs mer

After we departed Tara, we decided to head towards the Nindigully pub. Had never been out there before and figured it was a good way to kill a day or two before heading our way across to Stanthorpe.
