TravelerThe name “spiritual” comes from the belief that the route follows the last part of the journey of the remains of the Apostle St. James. While the rest of the Portugues route is considered a pilgrimage, this is the only part that follows what is considered the actual path to his final resting place at Santiago de Compostela.

TravelerWe had an idea that there was a bit of hill! We didn’t know that it was just as large as the other “big hill” we had done!! People had posted it was a lot to do in a day to walk from Pontevedra to Armenteira! So we decided to break it up into two days and stay in Combarro. Glad we did!

Ruta de la piedra y del agua! A beautiful beginning to our long walk today! The path takes you along a creek with numerous ruins of old mills! Loved it 😍!

TravelerI think I would enjoy running a hostel along the El Camino😀 Is the black tape on the toes covering blisters?
TravelerI keep the big toe covered so a blister doesn’t come back and the toe next to it to prevent one I felt forming. Its not painful or anything like that. The KT tape has worked great!
