Train ride to Alicante

A quick evening in Alicante was delightful (a delicious meal and a walk around the pedestrian Casco Antiguo).
Via Verde

We rode the 22 kms of the Via Verde de El Maigmo to reach Castalla (gradual climb without any cars :)
Alcoi

Another great ride on a Via Verde with several very long tunnels. Alcoi is a popular cycling destination.
Hike and ride to Gandia

Before leaving Alcoi, we decided to hike to Barranco del Cint: very rewarding!
To get to Gandia, we rode the Via Verde del Serpis (El tren de los Ingleses).
Last day of our Vuelta: Valencia

Final stage: 80 kms to Valencia! Looking forward to riding along La Albufera, a huge lagoon of fresh water where rice is grown. It’s also a great place for birdwatching.
Valencia: Cuitat Vella
