Almagro (arabisch al-magra = „rote Tonerde“) ist eine zentralspanische Kleinstadt in der Region Kastilien-La Mancha. Bereits im Jahr 1972 wurde die historische Altstadt als Conjunto histórico-artístico eingestuft. Die Häuser und Straßen des Ortes sind weitgehend gleich gestaltet.
Die riesige Plaza Mayor mit ihren Stützenhäusern (soportales) ist die bedeutendste Attraktion der Stadt. Sie wurde bereits im 13. Jahrhundert erbaut, doch stammt ihre Neugestaltung mit einheitlichen Fensterfassaden aus dem 17./18. Jahrhundert.

The houses and streets of the village are largely designed in the same way. The huge Plaza Mayor with its columned houses (soportales) is the city's most important attraction. It was already built in the 13th century, but its redesign with uniform window facades dates from the 17th/18th centuries.
