Day 1
Erste Wanderung

Nach einer gemütlichen 2,5 stündigen Fahrt ist das erste Ziel erreicht, Kandersteg wo auch das Appartment ist.
Nach einem schnellen Check-in und Klamottenwechsel ging es auch direkt auf die erste Tour.
Hoch zum Oeschinensee (ca. 1,5 Std.) Und hier gab erstmal eine Brotzeit.
Wunderschön hier oben und eine wunderbare Luft. Aber Bilder sagen mehr als tausend Worte.
Nach dem kleinen Päuschen ging es dann noch weiter hoch, auf einem Rundweg am oberhalb des Sees entlang.
Wirklich entspannend.
Nach ca. 6 Stunden ist dann auch wieder das Appartment erreicht und ich platt. 🤣😝

Da wie wir alle wissen die Schweiz ein teures Pflaster ist, gibt es etwas selbst gekochtes. 🍝

Morgen soll es dann voraussichtlich auf eine Route Richtung Blausee gehen. Wir werden sehen.Read more

Hut Hike Day 2

I got up in the morning, had some breakfast, and hit the hills (another cheap moment - I packed all my food - dinner and breakfast - because you could eat at the hut for 40 Swiss Frank's?!?!? Same amount as staying Blüemlisalphütte SAC the night!!! I think not!) Sleeping was good. I could hear the storm outside going bonkers with rain and wind.bLuckily there weren't many guests that night because there was only a divider between every 2 beds so if there were more people I could've been spooning a stranger...but that wasn't the case luckily. Today was easy peasy because it was all downhill and only 7km. Before heading out, I stood at the edge of the glacier!!! How cool 😝 I met this other solo hiker which was great...until I realized we hike at very much different paces. Anyways I committed to hiking together for the leg but after we parted I was zooming!Read more

Wow is international language for 'I do not believe what I am looking at, and clearly no one else in this cable car does either'. It's spoken in unison by all the very moment we break through the clouds. I don't have language, English or otherwise, to say any more. A few photos try in their own way. We've waited days for the weather to clear, and now this is the moment. Its all very very blue, which is very much loved. A tasty lunch topped it all off.Read more

The "Chicken Dance" is universal

Still hanging out at 11,000 feet enjoying the live music and the folks dancing with great joy. Some Americans taught the Chicken Dance to the crowd. Spontaneous dancing breaks out whenever a new group shows up. And Tim and I have been practicing our new skill learned from our new young friends from New Zealand and Australia...taking a panorama picture slowly so you can be in both parts!Read more

The band played on. The visitors danced. And we headed back down the mountain, had a burger in the great outdoors at 8,000 feet and then got off in Mürren to take a final Walk down to the cable car at Gimmelwald.Read more

Thanks, Suzanne. Glad that someone pointed out they weren't posting daily. Whew! Now we are all caught up. I am so impatient waiting for the paraglide to start... Tim is still sleeping.
