HEBS - Ben Suef Airbase, Egypt

Soooo, this is a bit awkward. In my last post, I mentioned that it's safe for me to fly around Egypt because I checked x-plane and there are no Egyptian Air Force threats to me.... Well, I am currently at HEBS - Beni Suef Air Base, and the Commanding General and his staff encouraged me to let them check out my Texan and then they would show me a surprise too.
SA-2 Bloodhound sites all around that base. YIKES!!!!!

I didn't get shot down for several reasons but it seems the 2 main reasons.... they have been following my Air Tour, AND several of the staff, including the Commanding General started their aviation career in the T-6 Texan! I will chill here for a couple of days and let them do some T&Gs and close flights, and they promised me safe travel throughout all of Egypt and may even pick up an escort. They also will do some maintenance for me and refuel me with some premium quality fuel.
