Rameniamo Insieme – The Ramen Runway Express: “From static display to dance floor—wherever the gear touches ground, the noodles follow.”

The curtain closes on chaos, carbs, and circuits over Italian glory. Our Buffalo roared out of Milan-Linate for one final odyssey above the Dolomites, the Rhaetian Railway, Sacri Monti, and mighty Monte San Giorgio—wings heavy with history, hearts even heavier with anticipation. Today, we flew as a family: Cropduster at the helm, Hepburn still radiant, Walken adding narration to every cloud bank, and Pacino prepping his Oscar speech for "Best Ensemble in a Simulated UNESCO Documentary." Lani and Kai dutifully worked the overheads for rogue biscotti.

But one moment before party and pageant: Cropduster’s solo sunrise sortie, the stuff of legend. Armed only with his Ho’omaka Hou Stearman (“Kaydet2”), strong espresso, and an insatiable love for ancient stones, he traced Rome up close—circling the Forum, swooping past St. Peter’s, lingering in the nooks and shadows where stories wait to be rediscovered. Up there, Rome wasn’t just a destination. It pulsed, whispered, and embraced—one pilot, one plane, a thousand years of wonder condensed into a morning flight both humbling and triumphant.

On the ramp at Villanova d’Albenga, the air turned festive and the ground game cranked to 11. Let’s get it straight: the EM-50ex—proudly re-christened as our Awesomely Amazing Airborne Man Cave Extreme (AAAMCE)—anchored the celebration, eclipsing its “Stripes” roots. Now part espresso den, part strategy HQ, and all rock and roll, the AAAMCE became everyone’s favorite tarmac lounge, glowing under LED lights and pumping out classic tunes.

Rolling backup? None better than the Gopher Tanks, reborn as Advanced Links Command Carts (ALCCs). Forget ordinary ground support—these rugged rovers delivered ramen, laughed off logistics, doubled as karaoke shuttles, and swept the ramp with Lani and Kai holding honorary “Chief of Snacks Command” status. Need an espresso? Find an ALCC. Want the BBC’s live shot of the cheese wheel toss? ALCC’s streaming it.

When hunger called, Rameniamo Insieme's “Il Colosseo Supremo” ramen truck took center stage, serving up legendary bowls: saffron noodles in wild boar-and-truffle broth, crowned with pancetta and Parmigiano magic. Bowls floated from AAAMCE to taildragger to Mustang, from C-47 to Corsair, with ALCCs ferrying flavors and fueling cheers. A spread unfolded—Italy’s finest salumi, biscotti, pecorino, whisky for the pilots, and cigars for the long-timers. The C-17’s PA thumped classic rock as families, locals, and Tiger Shark Squadron veterans danced, swapped tales, and marveled at the ramp-static lineup—including:
    • N8080K “Ho’omaka Hou” (Stearman PT-17 “Kaydet2”): Rome explorer.
    • N8081K “Paniolo” (T-6G “Texan”): Trainer and tour veteran.
    • N8082K “Koa” (P-51D “Mustang”): Showstopper.
    • N8083K “Manu” (DC-3/C-47 “Dakota”): Crowd pleaser.
    • N8084K “Pōā” (F4U “Corsair”): Blue legend.
    • N8085K “Haku” (Baron 58): Twin-piston maestro.
    • N8086K “Pāpulō” (DHC-5 “Buffalo”): Story hauler.
    • N8087K “Iniko” (A-37 “Dragonfly”): Jet jester.
    • N8088K “Maui” (C-130 “Hercules”): Lift king.
    • N8089K “Luna Honua” (C-17 “Globemaster III”): Command and soundtrack center.

Lani and Kai led the youth brigade in a sausage-stealing, ear-scratching gauntlet. The uninitiated gawked at the AAAMCE’s mood lighting. Pilots raised bowls and glasses, toasting 133 sites, 8 epic days, one ramp transformed into a scene straight from a Fellini film—half airshow, half festival, all heart.

So here’s to the Tiger Shark Squadron in air and on the ground—to solo flights above Rome, celebratory feasts, and wild nights fueled by friendship, noodles, and legends on both wings and wheels.

And remember, kiddos: Always keep your wingtips up, your noodle bowl full, and your superhero mask stashed—just in case the pasta hits the propeller. Ryan Reynolds out. Chimichangas optional, cannoli mandatory.

    End log.
