Zons

Zons is a small, walled medieval town on the west bank of the Rhein, just 10 or so miles south of Düsseldorf. It's seen a lot in its 600 year history, from French occupations to plagues. The thirty years war left enduring, physical marks on the walls and buildings of the town which are still visible today. All in all, it was a strange autumnal day in Germany, where the sun sat low and cast a lazy haze over much of Zons. Blue skied and chilly, it was the perfect place to spend a slow Sunday morning.Leggi altro
