…that really fits today.

We’re packing up, pulling out, and heading to New Hampshire for the summer — and while we’re so excited for what’s ahead, leaving is never the easy part.

Saying goodbye to family, friends, familiar places, and the little routines that quietly become home is hard. This season has meant a lot to us, and so have the people in it. We’re going to miss more than we can put into words.

But this next chapter feels like one of those once-in-a-lifetime kinds of adventures — the kind you say yes to even when it tugs at your heart a little.

So here we go… new roads, new views, new memories, and a whole summer waiting for us in New Hampshire.

What started as a dusty little dog park became part of our routine, part of our days, and somehow part of home. Olive found her favorite people and pups here… and honestly, so did we.

Somewhere near Washington and questioning every life choice that led us here 🫣😂
Traffic is traffic-ing, the rain is raining, and we are officially over it. At this point all we want is gas, snacks, and a place to park for five minutes without merging. Pennsylvania, You’re Already Looking..

BETTER!!

Crossed into Pennsylvania and the rain showed up right on cue, but honestly… we’ll take it. At least we’re no longer sitting in Maryland traffic fighting for our lives every five minutes. 😅 Whew.

Still about 10 hours from New Hampshire, but we’ll be calling it a night somewhere along the way and finishing the rest tomorrow and Friday. One state closer, a little less stressed, and very thankful to officially be out of Maryland. 🚐🌧️🛣️Lue lisää

Tonight’s Excitement: homemade chicken salad sandwiches, a little rearranging, and finally enough floor space to create a full walkway to the bed 😂 Welcome to our shoebox on wheels.

Cracker Barrel & The Early Bird Club

Woke up in the Cracker Barrel parking lot and apparently stumbled straight into the Thursday morning senior citizen social hour 😂 The sun is shining, the weather feels perfect, and this place is popping before 9am. Honestly? Kind of iconic.

We’re back on the road and headed north with good weather, good vibes, and no real clue where we’ll land tonight… just the way we like it. 🚐✨ Where will we make it today? Stay tuned.

And happiest birthday to my mom 💕We hate that we can’t be there to celebrate with you today, but we hope you have the loveliest day and feel so loved. 🎂Lue lisää

Moody Skies & Brake Lights 🌧️🚗

Moody skies, endless brake lights, and yet another rolling roadblock 🙃 This trip has had more traffic than our entire drive from the west coast to the east combined, and that somehow feels illegal.

At this point we’ve spent more time staring at taillights than scenery, but we’re still rolling… slowly, dramatically, and with just a little road rage under the storm clouds 😂🚐Lue lisää

Pit Stops & Little Joys 🛤️💛

Quick stop for gas, potty breaks, and a little stretch in the grass. Olive was very excited to discover Papa Choo Choo’s railroad tracks and made sure to inspect every inch of her newest adventure. 🐾🛤️

She’s loving travel day, we’re soaking in the miles, and tonight we’ll be landing somewhere in New York. Just me, my best friend, the love of my life, and our girl—rolling down the road with our favorite playlist and making memories in between pit stops.

The little moments always end up being my favorite. We’re a pretty sweet little trio. 💕Lue lisää

Home for the Night 🌲✨

We finally made it and are officially parked for the night at Alps Family Campground 🌲🚐💛 After a long day on the road, this little mountain stop is exactly what we needed. One more sleep and we’ll finish the last stretch of our trip tomorrow.

And ps… tomorrow is Peter’s birthday 🥹🎉 so we’re rolling into the final leg with snacks, sleepy eyes, and birthday road trip energy. Final stretch, birthday boy. 💜💙Lue lisää

Happy Birthday to the man who keeps us rolling, keeps us laughing, and loves us so well. Olive and I hit the jackpot with you. You are the calm in the chaos, the steady in every storm, and the heart of our little trio.

To Olive, you are her favorite adventure buddy, snack giver, and the best daddy in the world. To me, you are my safe place, my best friend, and the love I am thankful for every single day.

Life with you is sweeter, softer, and so much more fun. We are so lucky to love you.

Vermont Views & Mountain Magic

Rolling into Vermont and wow… this place is gorgeous. The mountains, the views, the fresh air… absolutely unreal. 😍

Welcome to New Hampshire 🤍🏔️

141 miles to go and 2 hours 45 minutes left — and somehow this has been the best part of the trip yet. Blue skies, fluffy clouds, good music, and just us soaking in the views and enjoying each other.

After all the traffic and long miles, this stretch feels like a breath of fresh air. The mountains are showing off, the mood is light, and New Hampshire is already making a good first impression.

Not sure what cell service will look like once we get closer, so if we disappear for a bit… just know we’re somewhere soaking it all in. 🚐🐾✨Lue lisää

Made It to the White Mountains

We finally made it to the White Mountains of New Hampshire and it already feels like we’re exactly where we’re meant to be. We met Kim, our boss for the season, and oh my gosh… we adore her already. She’s just as obsessed with dragonflies as I am, which feels like a pretty magical sign if you ask me. Olive loved her too, so obviously that sealed the deal. 🐾💛

Now it’s time to unpack the chaos, unwind from the road, and start settling into our little mountain home for the summer. New chapter officially begins now. 🏔️✨Lue lisää

Camp hosting looks a little different with Olive on the team. She spent the day helping Peter clean up tree limbs, supervising every stick, inspecting the trails, and making sure camp stays in top shape. Meet Olive, self-appointed campsite manager, table inspector, and apparent believer in her own ability to achieve liftoff. 🪑✈️

I hate to break it to her, but baby girl — you are not Dumbo. Those ears are adorable, but they are NOT wings, and that picnic table is NOT a runway. 🐘❌
She was completely unbothered by this news.
Just sat there. Surveying her kingdom. Tail curled. Collar pink. Dignity fully intact even though she was literally sitting on a PICNIC TABLE like she pays rent here.

The forest had squirrels. The road had potential. Olive had a vibe.
We are not the same. 🌲🐾
