Well the struggle is real. I have tried very hard to get the journal/picture blog going all week. Due to dead devices, wifi that is terrible in campgrounds, leaving town with a deficit on our data and ultimately deciding that the app we were trying to use just wasn't working. We have decided to use a different app....Hello Find Penguin.....hoping the penguins and us can be friends:). Today the goal is to get this thing going, caught up and ultimately updated every day or so....all this technology is suppose to make that all so easy......right?!?! grrrrr...now to try and post a picture......stay tunedRead more

Day 2-5 ...Omaha.....onto SD
We ended up leaving Wichita a day later than originally planned, about noon on Tuesday. We quickly discovered, as we made our way north, the a/c up front in the old GMC just wasn't able to keep up. We were sweating like crazy and heading towards a region of the country experiencing record highs...... fantastic!😵. We arrived and set up camp on Offutt AFB, sweated our way through the zoo the next day(wed) and by Thursday we had found the local a/c guy and ordered parts to fix our problem! The compressor was replaced by Thursday night but we had to wait on hoses until Friday. We were back on the road by early afternoon on Friday, still dealing with 100+ temps, Checked out the corn palace late afternoon. Saturday morning we headed for scenic loop 240, through the badlands..... So beautiful! Still sweating..... alot! Renamed the rv the sweat lodge.Read more
Mary PohlI thought you could turn the back air conditioner on to cool the people in the back? Start doing yoga and you can have your own hot yoga lodge :-) You could charge a lot for that!

Spooncation 2016You can if you turn on the generator..... And we did do that some but not ideal as the big rig isn't exactly fuel efficient!

Sarah AlixWe hiked it when Nathan was 2 and Julia was 5. Corey went one way with Julia and quickly returned but we thought he went all the way around so Nathan and I accidentally hiked the entire perimeter without water or directions or human company. I thought at least once that my baby and I might die out there. Good times.

Yellowstone, Day One
We stayed just outside Yellowstones North Entrance on Tuesday night, our site over looked the Yellowstone river directly below us, very relaxing to have a mountain stream run by you as you sleep:) We entered the park Wednesday morning with our first task to secure a campground, YS has 7 campgrounds that are reservable and 7 that are first come, first serve so we had to move quick, as they fill up fast. We were successful at getting a place in the Mammoth Spring campground, where we were greeted by our camphost you see in the second picture below, he and his friends were abundant. We saw the mammoth hot spring and went on the suggested wildlife drives looking for bears, sadly no bears for us.Read more

Road to the Cloud....er.....I mean Sun! Rained and was VERY cold the day we went, even rain mixed with snow at the top (Logans Pass)......was still very beautiful and well worth the drive. We rented a car to journey up the mountain, nothing over 19 ft long.....very narrow road.....the thought of building this road, impressive.Read more

..Checked out NAS Whidbey Island to see what we missed out on by putting New Orleans as our first choice when we left Cuba and Whidbey Island as our second. It is so beautiful here, BUT so cloudy,windy and chilly and these pics were taken in late June!!! I'll take the gators, SUNSHINE and humidity thank you:) I think we made the right choice.Read more

After leaving Portland we headed towards the coast for the 101 and found this sweet campground, basically right on the ocean, but had to take a litlle stroll to see the ocean.
