What a wonderful city! A crazy maze of little winding streets and the most temples I've ever seen! On every street, every which way you turn, another temple appears.
Love the Nepalese community, so happy and kind and friendly.
There is a no horn policy so despite an enormous amount of motorbikes it feels calm compared to India.
Friday was my orientation day, I've found strolling about and getting lost is the best way to experience a new place (and my trusty goggle maps when I get really lost).
Friday I visited Swayambhu stupa, the pictures tell that story, stunning and high!!
Saturday I strolled around again, ate a lovely Nepalese breakfast at a place right next door to the hotel I'm staying in after the tour! Then taxi to the Boudhanarth stupa, apparently the biggest in the world! Stunning place. Walked back, call it practice for the trek but also you see so much more. A quick visit to the garden of dreams, beautiful place in the middle of the city and then last night before I meet the new gang!
Very happy to be here for a few days exploring before the hike starts and the tour group descend on my solo life!
Hopefully the pictures do it justice!
