• Our final day exploring Athens

    May 28 in Greece ⋅ ☁️ 77 °F

Today we spent the bulk of the day finalizing our plans for Rome, before heading to a large rock near the Agora for a view of the Acropolis at sunset.

We started the day with a delicious Greek breakfast and blended Greek coffees(they blend ice and sugar into traditional drinks). We really enjoyed these!

Following breakfast, we spent the bulk of the day planning Rome. Chris also walked into town and got a local haircut! He was excited it was only $14, but did note that it did indeed look like a $14 haircut 😂 We did also step out for a lunch, and took a walk deeper into a part of town we enjoyed to get there.

After planning all day we headed out for dinner, and had a fantastic authentic Greek meal deep in a residential part of town.

After dinner we went on a long walk, and hiked up a rock near the Acropolis for views of it at sunset. There were a ton of other people up there, and we all enjoyed watching the Parthenon turn from white to orange as the sunset hit it.

After sunset, we walked a bit more to see the Parthenon lit up at night, and then went to bed. Tomorrow we head to Santorini!
