Athlete Breakfast & Au Revoir Notre Dame

Angus, Joy and her mom attended an athlete breakfast and welcome before bidding adieu to Maddie and letting her fly. What an exciting moment for her! The breakfast was full of inspirational speakers to get everyone excited for their four years here. Each athlete received a copy of this book and the Wednesday “Letters to my Freshman Self” are outstanding. What a classy school and top notch welcome to the students and parents alike. Looking forward to what the next four years brings for Maddie. Kick butt, girl! We love you! ❤️ ☘️ 🚣Les mer

We had a simple plan today; just get home. We got on I-80/74 and headed east. We did find a coffee shop in Ottawa, Ill. called Jeremiah's Joe. It was a pretty cool place and bought some drinks and several snacks and kept on heading east.

We left 6ish weeks ago with a plan in place that got scrapped quickly and we needed to improvise. In the end we hit 15 states, traveled nearly 7000 miles and visited 25ish coffee shops, saw hot deserts, tall mountains, grassy plains, a burning corn field, and buffalos, and so much more.

Visited the campus of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Everyone fell in love with the school and it's amazing buildings and facilities. Nice to see students back on campus and the excitement of a soccer game. The new 15,000 square foot boathouse was a site, too. The women's 8's were out on the water when we stopped by to take a look. Dinner on the street and we are on our way to Fayetteville!Les mer

Departed snowy State College and drove to Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Continued on to South Bend, where I spent the night downtown near Notre Dame.

Maddie’s recruiting class is the biggest ever! Also, a few more pictures of her dorm and room. Such a nice place! She can stay in this dorm all four years if she wants to as well.
