Leaving Tixhall Wide we returned to Haywood Junction and tied up at the water point. While Rainboat's water tank was filling, Will went to the Anglo Welsh chandlery and bought items he'd need to service her engine. It had been over 3 weeks since we'd ordered them from Kings Orchard Marina and they still hadn't arrived. Anglo Welsh is a Canaline engine specialist so had the oil filters etc in stock.
The cruise included 2 locks which Tiger seems to be coping with a lot better thanks to the tryptophan based calming tablets. The official moorings at Weston were close to a sewage plant so we moored a little way beyond them, in view of a picturesque church steeple. Leaves on the branches of a large sycamore were budding overhead and the air was alive with birdsong and honks of geese from a large pond just out of view.
