    Bordertown Recreation Lake

    Another day at the lake and the weather turned miserable. I swear of the 50 something days we have had so far we have had 1 (maybe 2) where the wind wasn't blowing strong enough to blow a dog off a lead. I might be exaggerating a little, but not much. And to top it off it started to drizzle freezing rain. We managed to get in a walk around the town and up to the local wildlife reserve where they have a family of white kangaroos. The genetic line has been going now for about 40 years so it is obviously really strong. We also checked out the birthplace of Bob Hawke while in town.もっと詳しく

    Bordertown Caravan Park

    We moved to the caravan park for a night before our run through Victoria. Just to make sure everything was charged up and ready to go before we got to the ship. The park was full of Tasmanian number plates and everyone was due to sail on the Saturday night sail as we were. The main talking point was what time was everyone leaving in the morning.もっと詳しく

    Port Melbourne - Spirit of Tasmania

    A big day's drive with only a stop at Stawell for some fuel. The traffic around the Spirit loading dock was horrendous and we get lost by missing a turn. We ended up driving down some tiny back streets to get to the port. Lucked out by being able to line up right at the entrance to the boarding point. Next stop Tasmania. Covid restrictions meant we could not leave the cabin. No TV, no fridge. Faye had prepared wraps for our dinner and we had a couple of drinks with us. Watched some shows on the PC before bedtime. Passage out of Port Phillip was fine with a gentle rocking. Crossing was calm. Arrived Devonport around 8:00am Daylight Saving Time. Moved all our clocks forward an hour. Thanks for following along.
