Instead of the Gardens of Versailles, without the grass, put a water pond in the middle, and it would look very similar to the Washington Monument in D.C. Nice picture! [Sharon]
Sacré Coeur

Sacré Coeur is at the top of one of Paris's hills. Which means there were a lot of stairs to get to it. It is classified as a basilica, which means it was blessed by a pope.

We had lunch at a restaurant called Hippopotamus. One of their specialties is Steak Frites (steak and fries)
Fragonard

Fragonard is famous in France as a quality perfume maker. We did a tour to see how perfume gets made. Then we got to mix our own personal perfume!

Arc de Triumphe

In the middle of the most dangerous circle in Paris, is the Arc de Triumphe. It go from outside the circle, to the monument, you have to take an underground path. It's amazing to see in person!
Fly By

They did a fly by with 3 groups of military helicopters. We aren't sure why. We think it may have to do with the soccer match tonight. France vs Morocco.
Louvre

The Louvre is probably one of the most famous museums in the world.

Metro

We made it to our second place using the Paris Metro. We did pretty well, especially considering how many tranfers we had to make to get to the Arc de Triumphe (we were on 3 different lines!).
The Seine River

River Cruise

Our guide facilitated us going on a river boad tour. It's so cool getting to see Paris from a different angle. Especially the Eiffel Tower!

World Cup Watch Party

France v Morocco in the World Cup. The hotel hosted a "watch party" upstairs. We only stayed till half time because we leave SUPER early tomorrow morning!

VERY early checkout today. We had breakfast starting at 4:30, and we started loading the bus at 5:00.

Train Station

We made it to the train station. Francisco sweet talked the station workers to tell us the train platform early so we could be first on the train (remember we have a lot of luggage!)

Arriving in Barcelona

We had time to walk around a little before dinner. We found a square that had a TON of pigeons and some really cool architecture.

Free Time

Picasso Museum

We went to the Picasso Museum during our free time. There was such a variety of art. I was very surprised.

We stopped at a tavern/restaurant. They had all kinds of Spanish food. The reviews were mixed. Some loved the food. Some really didn't like it. But everyone tried it!
