After I put up my 'bed', I thought it could rain in the night so that's the funny result - it really rained in the end and worked - what more could you want?

28 kilometrs hiking that day, from 10am till 7pm with 30min lunch break at the beach :)Read more

Traveler Rabbit tracks - lots of them.. they are the most important prey here for the many predators..

wild rosemary, thyme and mint and an uncountable number of cork trees even if they have numbers

Sometimes it's challenging with my carriage (kilometers of sandy paths or steep slopes) but I never fell so it's manageable ;)Read more

Porto Covo - Villa Nova de Milfontes

Lots of sand so quite exhausting.. but every step is worth it =)
And amazed by this wonderful landscape and alone the whole time (I saw 1 group and 2 persons in 8 hours) you are full of endorphins not noticing the effort needed to run in the sand

I left my luggage in the Hostel and run this stage forth and back - 30 kilometers - very recommendable ;)Read more

Of a hostel where you pay 10 euros per night you wouldn't expect such comfort, cosy athmosphere, clean kitchen, 2 lockers, 3 terasses, super internet, a cinema, and a jacuzzi and everyday either pilates, yoga, running or cocktailmaking classes.

I enjoyed my stay, cooked also for the next days as I planned to be outside the whole time. Siva, the cook there widened up my horizon - as a traveller his whole life and teacher in Qi-Gong, Tai-Chi and Yoga,.. he gave again totally different answers to the questions of my questionary 'Understanding life' and great exercises - thank you Siva. I could give something back with a Shiatsu massage and realised how much I missed massaging.

I was totally overwhelmed and stayed 2 instead of one night. I would have loved to stay much longer because even the people I met there were amazing and lifechanging. If not the hiking trail and the sunny weather period were calling me..Read more

two weeks full of amazingly fresh food, great friends, animals, pure nature, work for every free hand, interesting talks, lots to learn, cool experiences :)

I'm very looking forward to the next two weeks - I will work at a permaculture farm in the basque mountains

It was quite spontaneous - 2 days before I wrote to Garbine and she said it would be perfect if I was able to come on the weekend and so she picked me up at the evening.
First we met her cousin and a friend that also has a permaculture farm and after a while we went to a local bar serving ecologically grown food - full of locals (all generations)and great DJ so we stayed long. Pizza, Champignons and traditional "balls" - delicious!

Everybody knew each other there so we met lots of frieds, their percussion class - they immediately invited me to come for the next time.

I quickly realised that I won't really improve my poor spanish knowledge in the next two weeks because I don't even understand a single word here^^ - everyone speaks basque

After a 30 min car ride we arrived at the farm surrounded by hills and stars and a few lights in the distance - I wasn't able to see more than that in the night - very Looking forward to give all those sounds a face in the morning :)

I will live in a mobile home - she's called Tiffany - and have my own room :D what luxury!Read more
