Our ticket to the Colosseum included the entry of the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. These areas are the day-to-day life of Ancient Rome. This domed octagonal Lateran Baptistery (Italian: Battistero lateranense) was fascinating. It was not large, but there were things to see inside. We didn’t shoot inside as we didn’t have cash to give any donations. We thought it was a church, but it was actually a Baptistery.Read more

In the video, you could see barely prayers are moving up the stairs slowly. Highly recommend to visit this place in person to feel the holy stairs. Prayers climbed the stairs with their knees.

The Scala Sancta (English: Holy Stairs, Italian: Scala Santa) are a set of 28 white marble steps located in an edifice on extraterritorial property of the Holy See in Rome, Italy proximate to the Archbasilica of Saint John in Laterano.

But interesting thing is that there are a lot of tailors around the area tailor-making the priests’ or nuns’ clothings. It’s like a lot of depots in the area.Read more
