We didn’t do much in Kuqa as we were still exhausted from the hectic day of detour. So we just paced ourselves and did some random walk in the city.

Day 269: Jiaohe Ancient City

Day 269: Walking around Turpan City

Day 270: Grape Valley Area

Turpan is the #1 grape town in China. We walked around the Grape Valley area without paying to actually see the Grape Valley. It’s interesting to see the grape-drying architecture during our walk.
Day 271: Turpan North Station

We went back to the Turpan North Station and took a train to Liuyuen South Station for taking a transfer bus to our destination, Dunhuang!

Day 271: Liuyuan South Station AGAIN!

Here we are…Dunhuang! We were too busy chatting with our friends when getting off the bus, so we forgot to take any photos of the bus station. But we did arrive safely and smoothly!

Next to our hostel, it was the Dunhuang Night Market. We quickly got a bite to eat there as we were starving. The whole area was very touristy and commercial.
Day 272: Mogao Grottoes
