Meteora is beautiful through and through. The rock formations, the location of the monasteries, the monasteries themselves, the landscape – simply breathtaking. So beautiful that words fail me. We started our hike for the day in Kalambaka. Three monasteries and almost 20 kilometres later, we were completely exhausted but thoroughly satisfied with the day and what we had seen. The sunset at one of the viewpoints wasn't particularly spectacular that day, but it was definitely a must, as the feeling at that point was indescribable.
