We set ourselves a challenge aiming to climb Lion Rock but because it was so overpriced and bad reviews, we decided Pindurangala Rock was the sensible option. Our climb up the Rock started with us going through a temple. Mum and dad had to wear sarongs as a sign of respect. The walk started with a couple of stairs, which were super steep. I love hiking unlike some people in our family.... It was slippery as it rained just before we started. When we got to the top it was an outstanding view. The rock scrambling was so good but mum didn't like it and told us not to go up. I said to Mum, 'let's go on this track' and it turned out to be the actual trail! The lookout on top of the rock was the best view looking at Lions Rock.
The walk down went by in a heartbeat- my legs felt fine.
Another story I want to tell is before the hike we had a quick smoothie. Whilst we were there I saw an iguana trying to catch insects so I decided to help him out by catching the critters and I was able to hand feed him. When I started to walk away to get a sip of my smoothie, he followed me! He then jumped onto my arm and wouldn't let go! I had to physically get him off me by nudging him with my finger. It was so cool because it was wild and you wouldn't expect him to act like that.
