Amazing Angkor Wat

We jumped in the tuk tuk and off to the temples. But not just any old temple, one of the world's biggest! Over 1000 years old Angkor Wat is indescribable. There are 2 gates into the temple and when I went through the first one, I thought I was inside, but I had just walked into the second entrance! This place was huge!
I don't even think we explored the whole temple and we were there for hours. The carvings were amazing on the walls and I could not even imagine how they looked when they were first done.
There was a bit in the temple where you have to be 12 years and over to enter so Fern sadly wasn't allowed to do it. It was a really steep and thin set of stairs to the top of the temple and I heard that the reason they are so steep and thin is that it is supposed to be a challenge because it is the stairway to heaven.
I will remember this day for a really long time.Læs mere
