Arrivederci, Verona

There is no world without Verona Walls,
But Purgatory, torture, hell itself.
Hence banished is banish’d from the world
And world’s exile is death.

Tomorrow morning I leave Verona for England, fortunately without Romeo’s sense of doom, since I am first spending five days with my cousin in Essex then the last few days in London with my university friends.

As is always the way, when I arrived on August 24, time seemed to stretch ahead of me for so long; now that I am about to leave, it seems to have been very short.
