After the zoo I was going back and saw there was a educational trail going through the park so i decided to walk through it where I learned a lot about nature and the park itself.

I searched online if there was anything Lithuanian, sadly there werent a lot of restaurants that make it for a cheap price, so I decided to get this, the cold beetroot soup is Lithuanian tho according to google.
I zocht online of er enkele Litouwse restaurants waren in de buurt en er waren niet veel die Litouws voedsel maken voor een redelijke prijs, dus ik besloot hier te eten. De koude bietensoep is wel Litouws volgens googleLeggi altro

Kaunas Castle

I havent seen the other part of the city yet so I decided to go there in the evening with an electric scooter to give my legs some rest xd. First, I went to Kaunas castle before going on a walk around the river Neris. There is also a monument included about NATO with information on all members. Sadly the Museum itself was closed but you could see enough on the outside.
Ik heb het andere gedeelte van de stad nog niet gezien, dus ik besloot om eerst naar Kaunas Kasteel te gaan met de elektrische step om mijn benen wat rust te geven. Daarna is het plan om langs de rivier Neris te lopen. Er is ook een monument over NAVO met informatie over alle lidstaten. Jammer genoeg was het museum gesloten, maar je kon gelukkig genoeg zien vanuit de buitenkant.Leggi altro

Nemuno & Neris park

This park is around where the rivers Neris and Nemuno meet. It was a nice walk and you could sit there quietly for a bit. Dit park is waar de rivieren Neris en Nemuno worden samengevoegd. Het was een leuke wandeling en je kon daar gewoon lekker rustig zittenLeggi altro

You could play a lot of sports in this part of the city (Sadly no chess clubs here) with a soccer field, basketball field, skatepark, athletics field and a playground where you can also train with weights, cycle and other workouts. There was also a statue for pope John Paul II placed who can watch over you.
In dit gedeelte van de stad kan je vele sporten beoefenen (Jammer genoeg is er geen schaakclub in deze stad) met een voetbal/basketbalveld een atletiekbaan, een skatepark en een speeltuin waarin workoutapparaten zijn geplaatst zoals gewichten en fietsen en andere workouts. Other part of city, andere kant van stad

Now it was time to go back to the apartment, while walking through the other part of Kaunas, after the last picture I decided to use an eletrical scooter again to get back to the apartment. (Maybe taking a day pass in Vilnius to travel around)
Nu was het weer tijd om naar het apartement te gaan, dit deed ik via de andere kant van de stad. Na die laatste foto besloot ik maar om weer een elektrische scooter te pakken om naar het apartement te gaan (in Vilnius misschien maar een dagabbonement nemen)Leggi altro

I woke up early and after having a coffee, I wanted to go to the other side of the Nemuna river because it looked more mountainous and I had enough time anyway. On my way, on the bridge, I saw a funicular that was build in the 1930s and when I was up the mountain, you could see the entire city of Kaunas.
I werd vroeg wakker en nadat ik een koffie gehaald had, besloot ik om naar de andere kant van de Nemuna rivier te gaan omdat het er bergachtig uitzag en omdat ik toch genoeg tijd had. Left the appartment around 11:40 and found some dutch name on the main street, after walking for 20 min, I arrived at the train station whrre it was a bit of a labyrinth to get to the right platform. Also found some dutch people walking even tho they spoke english back to me when I said something haha.
Heb het appartement verlaten rond 11:40 en ik vond een Nederlandse naam om de straat. Na 20 minuten gewandeld te hebben, kwam ik op het treinstation aan waar het een klein doolhof was om op het juiste perron te komen. Ik hoorde ook mensej Nederlands praten maar ze zeiden iets in engels terug toen ik iets zei.Leggi altro
