Day 12 - Black Forest

Another chilly start to the day - we’re heading further south where it’s going to get a bit colder still before it should warm up later in the week.
It was a three hour trip today so we broke it up by using one of the many free rest areas off the autobahn - it was lovely until a car pulled in behind us and the chap got out and had a wee right by the side of the road, hopped back in his car and then hopped out for another straight away! Shame he didn’t park up near the actual toilets so he could go in private….
We saw some castles on the drive too, and a tower which had been built especially to test elevators, it looked so random in the middle of nowhere.
Our next stop was a supermarket a couple miles away from our next camp, and finally it was my turn to go and do the shopping. I had a very small list, but had been told I could go wild - and that I did! German supermarkets are the best, you can get almost anything! I’ve been amazed at the delicious vegan ‘sliced meats’ and picked up a few more packets.
We then headed to Camping Bankenhof, our home for the next three nights. It seems really nice and quiet here - the weather was a bit rubbish when we arrived so we’ve not really been out for an explore yet, we’ll save that for tomorrow.Leggi altro
