Day 28 - Lake Maggiore - getting busier

Today has been our first sunny day in a long time. Although this morning was still over cast and cloudy. Charlie went off for a run after breakfast while Marla and I chilled in the van (she slept and I did some crochet). We had some lunch and then the sun came out. We went for a wander up and down the lake shore and Marla finally had a good swim and some fun. She really loved swimming and bobbing for bits of driftwood (and there’s a lot around here), and we got to enjoy some lovely sunshine. But the campsite is really getting quite busy. There seems to be a lot of campers parked on the through road rather than spaces… no one else seems to mind but we are feeling a bit cramped. So we popped over to the camp bar for another limoncello spritz (maybe three….) just to have some space and relax. I popped up to the supermarket for a bit of fresh bread to have with some pasta for tea.
We have decided to move on from here a day early, it’s going to be awful weather tomorrow and it doesn’t feel like a great place to be so we’ve decided not to stick it out for no reason, so watch this space to see where we end up tomorrow!Read more
