Meet the Girls

How fun to look after chickens! They are very funny creatures! One night I put them to bed and poked my head in to count and make sure all 8 were in. Three times I counted 7 and then realized that 1 was in the rafters!

What a delight to go on an egg hunt every afternoon! One thing I am not sure about is whether white chickens lay white eggs and brown hens lay brown eggs. We have 2 white hens and 2 white eggs. 6 brown/black hens and 6 brown eggs. Seems logical, but must look this up.
