Around Selcuk

Long drive on Friday from Gelibolu to Selcuk - about 5.5 hours plus stops. Pete loved driving at 140km/hour. I did not. We took the coast road which was fine for a while but then just got stressful going through small towns.
Walking the streets of Selcuk is entertaining. We have to dodge low orange tree branches and fallen fruit. Tractors are parked on footpaths.
At our restaurant tonight we were joined by quite persistent dogs and a cat.
Our hotel, the Cella Boutique Hotel and Spa is nice but has some quirks ie. There is a lift but you have to take stairs from the lift to get to the rooms. We were booked into the penthouse room but it had a sloping ceiling that even I couldn't stand up under. We requested a move which we got.Read more
