    Going inland

    November 6, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

Leaving behind the coast line for a few days, we’ve travelled inland towards areas that have had a lot of rain recently. One place we had planned to visit - Forbes - has sadly been flooded for days. When we set off we weren’t 100% sure our route would be clear, but we were ok in the end.

The road to Armidale is called the waterfall way. We stopped off at a couple of waterfall viewpoints, a forest walkway, and for a cuppa (where we overheard an excellent conversation between two older ladies about fences, committees and neighbours!)

We eventually arrived at Armidale, where we’d booked a cabin for the night. The cabin was small, woody and sauna like inside, but it was cosy and had all we needed for one night.
