Last Aussie blast - Sydney from the air

So yesterday was our last full day here. Later today we fly to Singapore.

We had a quiet day, mainly battling with packing our expanded stuff into shrunken bags and rucksacks. We won (just).

To punctuate our day, and go out with a bang (perhaps not the best analogy for a heli flight) we treated ourselves to a view of Sydney from the air. Wow. Great visibility and a fantastic city to see from skies.

The proportions change from above - the Opera House looked smaller and the bridge looked bigger! You don’t realise l how many harbour inlets and amazing beaches there are until you see things from above. A very fitting way to say bye bye.

Had a final walk around Coogee, where Col flirted with the idea of a final swim. There was a keen southerly blowing, and the ocean was a bit mean looking, so he settled for a paddle instead. Some hardened swimmers made it in - for a short while!

So that’s it, nearly two months of travel here. Thank you Australia, for the best time ❤️💙❤️
