Woke up surrounded by Icebergs, amazing!
Saw humpback whales diving and resurfacing
Watched King Neptune presentation to celebrate crossing the Antarctic Circle, didn't even feel the bump!
Took our first zodiac ride to view crabeater seals and one lonely Adele penguin on the ice floes and a shag colony on the iceberg
Ship drove into an ice sheet (intentionally that is!!)
Saw three Minke whales diving under the ice sheet hunting for krill
A large penguin appeared, turns out it was a juvenile Emperor. We watched him for ages, mesmerized!
Ice landings in the evening and we were all allowed out to play
Watched crabeater seals playing around the ship from the deck
Experienced interesting interaction between the Emperor penguin and the seals, apparently both very curious but not doing each other any harm
