    Drake Passage

    January 22 in Antarctica ⋅ ☁️ 0 °C

Watched the St Andrews University presentations, algae distribution, whales and micro plastics (which explains all the work that's been going on at our landing sites)
    No more landings now...
We made a few mistakes with dressing at first but the routine has become engrained over the 16 days...
base layers, leggings, fleeces, waterproof trousers, thick socks, muck boots, red jacket with ID card, life jacket, neck warmer, hat, gloves ... for every trip, takes a while to get prepared

Handing back our muck boots and patches today!

Expedition routine from the Black Box was amazing, so well organised and supervised
ID checked, boot dip and a goodbye before boarding the zodiac, always the same boarding routine (you need to have your wits about you!!)
On return boots cleaned on the bristle machine, disinfectant dip, then ID check and personal welcome back...so slick!

Towel folding activity, I can't believe we're doing this !!
Interesting dinner with some BIG waves, had to hang on to our wine glasses

    Karaoke in the Explorer Lounge.
I went to bed before Ts turn😂
