Oconee Brewing

It was already dark when we arrived to a full parking lot, including a number of cop cars. Despite our fears and hopes that we'd be intruding on bar brawl, it was in fact a retirement party for the local sheriff's office.

The brewery was fine. They served beer. Friendly people. I am learning; in the south if you are not over the top friendly (by NY standards) you will be read as surly.

Cerelle wanted to buy the piece of land across the street. It's a cute town, with some antique stores and a café. But small. Tiny.

I shopped at a cute market called Ripe Thing. Got some veggies, some meats, and some farmhouse pickles.Read more
