    The Washington Monument on the National Mall, we arrived in D.C. late but we decided to drive out and see the town... Lincoln Memorial was also beautiful at night.

    We stayed in New Jersey, parking was cheap and public transport is key in New York. We were right by the Lincoln Tunnel, which leads directly to the bus/subway station. We felt right at home commuting throughout the busy city of New York.Read more

    Our first stop was Times Square, after fighting the half dozen costumes characters we explored the various shops in the area. Everything from generic souvenirs, to two-story Disney shops.

    Spent most of our time laying on one of the many boulders in the park, reading and enjoying the day. Before we stopped by Midtown Comics and grabbed some reading material, we packed some picnic food and enjoyed the park proper.Read more

    After exploring the Financial District we decided to take a stroll to the Brooklyn Bridge. Much bigger in person we walked about 25% of the way and stopped to admire ports. Turning around to grab some fresh mangos from a vendor.Read more

    Walking up to Grand Central Station you really don’t get the scale until you walk in. The high ceilings and busy lobby really was sensory overload, venturing deeper into the station it was nice to see a full array of restaurants and diners.Read more

    Leaving New Jersey we stopped at Liberty State Park, admiring the view of the Statue of Liberty from afar. It was quite humbling to see the plaques of immigrants who ventured their way to America. Exploring the station it was easy to find beauty in the worn walls.Read more
