Luang Prabang

The whole city is a UNESCO site and despite being touristy it has charm with cute French inspired buildings, the huge riverside, daytime wet market, lots of handicraft gift shops, bakeries and many many temples. The top temple, Wat Xieng Thong (Temple of the Golden City), is covered in the most amazing detailed mosaic, including a replica of the tree of life.
