Central Tainan

Explored central Tainan by foot on one of the signposted trails, taking in, Koxingas shrine/temple, Confucius temple, the city wall, Hayabi dept store (with the first elevator in Taiwan), First bank, cute street art, the museum of modern art and several temples. In the afternoon, we took the train to Taichung. The sun was setting as we arrived but we had time to explore the illuminated river (disappointing), painted animation lane, the martial arts centre (Japanese style) and the night market for epic hotpot.Read more
