    Akaroa

    Forty minutes west of Christchurch is the little French town of Akaroa. The French landed here long ago and it continues to have French road names, a French food market and colourful houses. Akaroa is popular for its wildlife, especially the penguins. We only had one penguin sighting but we did get to see the rare Hector's dolphins and stingray on our boat trip in the bay. We met Donny and Robyn again for dinner in a trendy indoor food market.Read more
