Punakaiki to Franz Josef via Hokitika

We had a little exploration of the beach at Punakaiki before hitting the road to cute seaside town of Hokitika. The town is famous for its green gemstones and we looked in lots of jewellery stores after lunch on the beach. Continuing down we went to Okarito, which is a tiny hamlet which has a a kiwi protection area and Donovan’s Store, one of the oldest buildings on the West Coast.Leggi altro
